Forest Park Hit-and-run Caught on Video
FOREST PARK, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Police in Forest Park said they were looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that happened right in front of a police officer Friday. Video from an officer’s dashboard camera showed a pedestrian crossing the street at the intersection of Jonesboro Road and Conley Road. The camera captured an SUV as it barreled through the intersection and hit the pedestrian. Police said the driver pulled over at first, but then took off before the ambulance could arrive. Investigators said the victim in the crash is expected to be OK. Police said they are searching for the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle is described as a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with chrome step bars. The driver is described as a white female in her late 20′s or early 30′s. Investigators said the driver had shoulder length or longer blond curly hair and she was wearing thick glasses.
