Wreck
Personnel from the Griffin Police Department, Griffin Fire-Rescue and Spalding Regional Medical Center Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle accident at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 11th and Wall streets. Tracy W. Ortiz, 56, was traveling east on Wall Street in a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass and Linzey L. Hillhouse was traveling north on 11th Street in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer, according to GPD Investigator Bryan Clanton. Ortiz went through the stop sign at the intersection and struck Hillhouse’s vehicle, causing it to overturn. One person was transported to Spalding Regional, but details about the injury were not available at press time. Ortiz was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
