Camry causes damage to Loganville home

A Toyota driver said her car accelerated out of control before plunging through a wall of her home Wednesday. Gwinnett firefighters responded to the accident at a home in the 3200 block of Cobblers Walk in Loganville. When they arrived, they found a Toyota Camry partially out of the back wall of a house. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. The driver of the Camry told firefighters she was pulling into her garage when the vehicle accelerated forward out of control. It went through the closed garage door and came to rest after crashing through the back wall of the house, fire officials report. The vehicle caused some damage to the home but did not hit any support beams. A wrecker was called to remove the vehicle and the family has been allowed to stay in the house, but was advised to avoid the garage. No one was harmed.
