Man still recovering after hit and run

In the early morning hours of June 15, James Gnatt, 72, was struck by a car and left, badly injured, in the middle of Hodgson Memorial Drive. According to an eye witness who stopped to help him, Gnatt’s left arm was mangled, and he had several broken ribs. In addition, he was losing blood rapidly and might not have survived if someone hadn’t stopped to help. Three weeks later, and the driver who hit Gnatt still has not been found. Instead, Gnatt is left with mounting medical bills, further procedures for his arm and months of rehab. Metro Police are investigating the incident, and Crimestoppers says it’s offering a reward to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest.
