Four people are dead following a collision on a Sumter County road. The Florida Highway Patrol said a truck driven by 45-year-old Paul Sermons was trying to pass a slower, westbound vehicle on Saturday night when the crash occurred. Sermons didn’t realize how close two motorcycles in the eastbound lane of the county road were and wasn’t able to slow down before the collision. The drivers and passengers of the motorcycles were all ejected in the crash. One of the passengers was thrown into the windshield of the slower-moving truck that Sermons was trying to pass. The names of the motorcyclists haven’t been released yet.
Motorcycle accidents are extremely dangerous, here is an incident that recently happened in Georgia.. Always be aware while driving on the road to be on the lookout for motorcyclists.
