COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus Police Departments Hit and Run Unit is seeking your assistance in obtaining information on a Hit and Run accident. On Thursday, July 8, 2010 Police responded to the scene of a male pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was crossing Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when a small SUV or Wagon struck the pedestrian and kept traveling eastbound. A witness stated that the small SUV or Wagon returned to the scene, drug the pedestrian from the roadway, then left the area. A witness assisted Police with the incident, and a surveillance video was obtained from a nearby Business with additional information. Investigators are seeking assistance in the identity of the suspect driving the Hit and Run vehicle.
Suspect Information: black male, light-skin with dreads driving an unknown tan colored SUV, traveling east on MLK Jr. Blvd.
