Augusta woman hits 3 vehicles

An Augusta woman is facing 10 traffic charges after Richmond County Deputies say she hit three cars, in two separate accidents on Gordon Highway. Deputies say 46 year old Barbara Brooker was driving the wrong way down the 1600 block of Gordon Highway when she sideswiped a taxi. She and another driver were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. When Brooker recovers, deputies will transport her to the Richmond County Jail. Among the many charges she will face they include, DUI, hit and run, driving on the wrong side of the road, not being insured, having a suspended registration, and not wearing a seat belt.
